Spring Training Plans?
Written by Colin on February 5, 2008 – 4:42 pmSo we have some of our pitchers throwing at Turner Field and the AJC reported that Andruw Jones turned up to take some batting practice off of the guys recently. Pitchers and catchers officially report on February 14 at the start of what we know as Spring Training.
So we here at BravesBlast are planning our spring out and trying to figure out when we can swing some trips down. I can’t wait to get down to Florida and wear shorts while watching the current and future Braves get ready for the season. Apparently we’ve got some competition shaking out for the fourth and fifth rotation spots. It’ll be a good battle – Wren says that he thinks we’ll send three major league starters to Richmond this year. That’s significantly different from last year – isn’t it? Now we’ll have to wait and see what happens, but I want to see them pitch in person.
What are you doing for Spring Training? We’ll post our schedule as soon as we get it ironed out, but we’d love to meet up with some fans and tailgate, hang out, and chat up the Braves. Drop us a line if you’ll be in Florida, and we’ll see if we can meet up.
We can’t wait for Spring Training to start.
