Five Signs of Metspocalypse Now

Written by Colin on March 18, 2008 – 8:57 am

More signs of Metspocalypse Now:

  • Carlos Delgado couldn’t escape the dark horsemen even on the playing field – this Sunday he got hit by a shard off a broken bat that nailed his arm.  Blood everywhere, four stitches needed.

  • Carlos Beltran still isn’t in shape enough to play an entire game.

  • Johan got tagged Saturday for four runs (three earned) in five innings.  He’s human, and he’s beatable.

  • Ramon Castro tweaked something running to first Sunday – had to come out of the game, but they claim it wasn’t him re-injuring his hamstring.

  • We finally saw the biggest impact of the Mets massive collapse last season this past week – Elliot Spitzer was apparently so disheartened that the Mets didn’t make the playoffs it drove him to seek out prostitutes.  Way to go, Mets.

That’s the first post of our series Metspocalypse Now.  When you need a reason to be down on the Mets, come here for your fix.  We’re always down on the Mets.

Can’t wait for that first series of the year, guys.  Can’t wait.

Well if we’re honest with ourselves we don’t need reasons to be down on the Mets except for the simple fact that they’re… the Mets.

But thanks for the little boost. It helps to keep our confidence up to rip on ‘em a little bit.

I agree JB. We all know that the Mets are going to be very competitive in the NL East this year, but it just wouldn’t be a rivalry if you didn’t pick on the other teams, would it?

Apparently the collapse last year also cost the lt. governor his sight… and made him have an affair several years ago. When we invent time travel, this should be the first thing we go back and fix…

It’s just a bit of fun meant to unite us together in our dislike for the Mets. But yes, all recent NY disasters are the fault of the Mets.
