Braves Battle for the Bottom

The Nationals and the Braves are in a vicious fight for last place in the league. Tonight’s match up will determine the true winner of the title “Worst Team in the NL East.” In the blue corner, Tim Hudson packs his 1-2 punch against Matt Chico in the red corner. It’s a fight tonight, and will certainly be an interesting one.

 The Braves have lost their last three games. The Nationals started out strong going 3-0 and just couldn’t keep it up to lose seven in a row. Talk about consistency: both teams are consistently losing. Not what we want to see, but at least this time someone’s got to come out on top.

Last season against the Nationals, Tim Hudson was 4-0. He pitched 30 innings with an ERA of 0.60. This looks good for us to come out on top. However, the Braves haven’t won a game on the road yet this season.  Will the Braves claim tonight’s title, or will the Nationals put up a true fight for “Worst Team…?”

    Alright, just sitting down in front of the TV. The Braves were retired 1-2-3 in the top of the first as were the Nationals. Hudson retired the Nats on 9 pitches.

    Tex flares out to lead off the inning. Francoeur with a single, Brian McCann walks. Diaz grounds into the double play to end the inning.

    Kearns singles for the first National hit of the night. Belliard grounds in to a 6-3 double play. The Braves return the favor. End of the 2nd inning.

    KJ rolls one into short right field. Good play by Belliard to get the ball but not in time to get Kelly. 2 out base runner.

    Yunel lines one sharp to third….Ryan Zimmerman catches it to end the inning….

    …….and Rue proclaims that she will name her daughter Yunel….

    If it’s that bartender i was getting shots from last night, then i definitely do. she was so hot that i literally could not stop staring at her. that has only ever happened one other time. i almost felt like i was oogling her. hell, i WAS oogling her.

    otherwise, i definitely don’t need a girlfriend. i just broke up with my boyfriend last week. but for being very very straight, i hear i have wonderful taste in women. :)

    i’m wearing a parrot tshirt, walmart jeans that i bought last sunday so i wouldn’t ruin any of my good jeans at brazing school, and galoshes. i figured i’d save the sexy clothes for going out. :)

    That’s what I like to hear :) Rue and I are both Tech grads. Me with a computer engineering degree and her with a mechanical engineering degree from 2006.

    I unfortunately did not “Go” to Tech but my dad and his dad did for Architorture. I was a season ticket holder last year (even though we were crummy) but when I was 3 I pulled the fire alarms at the Architecture building.

    I went to Kennesaw State instead and majored in theater.

    I’m not as good at math.

    i can’t make it to the friday dodgers game. my softball team is playing our first regular season game.

    i’m glad you score too. i do it because it keeps me paying attention. see, it isn’t that i become disinterested, it’s that i get distracted. having the scorecard there and trying to make sure it’s up to date is a bit more difficult and makes the game fly by.

    i actually bought a five dollar detailed score book. i count pitches, mark balls and strikes (sometimes i number which pitch was what) and mark where all hits were. i love doing that.

    and i’m lucky in that i don’t get hit on like your wife does because i have a scorecard. or maybe i’m not as nice as she is.

    Rue, the Braves don’t win when you shave, that I know of. You should graph you shaving against the Braves winning, then maybe you’ll get thanked.
