Im wondering now if it is some type of Psych-Out or if he is just scared. It just seems to me that everytime he gets real near to the end of his rehab is when the problems begin. He always pitches without any problem early in his rehab starts. Its just that last 1 to 2 starts or bullpen session thats bites him for some reason. OH WELL!!! Time to turn the page

Is anyone really surprised any more? He's done, folks. And anyone that keeps up the wishful thinking that he'll be back and be awesome, then something is seriously wrong with you. I honestly don't know why the Braves are even wasting their time trying any more. (Well, aside from the fact that we can't keep a healthy rotation for anything)

He's worth a shot. Morton could use a little more time in the minors to hone his stuff. And our rotation, while not healthy, has certainly been effective.

It's the offense that can't buy a hit.

The offense can't buy a hit . . . somedays . . . it's because we use them all up on other days, get it right.

And he was worth a shot at the start of the season, and maybe the time after that . . . he's not worth it any more.

Don't talk bad about Moylan that way . . . he's infinitely better than Hampton ever has been for us. I look forward to seeing him back next season.

Moylan was good for one year, Hampton had two good years (did you forget about those?) for the Braves and before that for other teams when healthy. What's to say this won't happen to Moylan after he gets back from Tommy John Surgery? Hampton was very durable before his arm injury and probably didn't keep up his fitness regimen during his recovery, which is why he keeps getting hurt. The groin injury isn't severe, and for Hampton for something to not be severe probably means it barely even happened. He got hurt in the first inning and kept pitching in the second, so I'm pretty sure he can get back out there and throw in a couple of days.

I don't understand why anyone feels the need to defend Mike Hampton any more. The injury isn't severe, but neither were half of his other injuries. He's fragile….very very fragile.

Probably because it's not his fault that he's getting hurt. He didn't fall down the stairs carrying dear meat, or play guitar hero until his elbow got hurt like Joel Zumaya. These are injuries that he sustained playing the game, and unfortunately they just keep happening over and over. On the other hand he's also a major league athlete and should be able to put it back together. His next start should be his last minor league start before he's here.
