Here Here! Braves fans have ALWAYS been fair weather fans!

Just heard on the radio the Cubbies pitcher spike catches and he falls off the mound and STILL throws a strike!!!! Go figure!

I am still cheering...and still screaming...and still hoping they will at least get back up to 500. But when I am at the game, it seems I am the lone ranger in my section.

GO BRAVES!

You know, if the fact that the fans only show up when we're winning is the price we have to pay for not having fans as obnoxious as the Cubs, then it's a price I'm happy to pay.

You're right. There's a lot of people who show up with such apathy for the game and the team it's annoying. They're the folks who like to get up in the middle of the inning and see how many times they can obstruct your view and don't give a crap about baseball.

It is sad and more than a little irritating but I try not to let it ruin my enjoyment of the team or the games. I know the postseason won't be a reality for us but it's much more important to me to enjoy each game in and of itself.

As always. Go Braves!

I just got home from tonight's game--it is really sad when you cheers of the other team are louder than the cheers for your own team! Why do they even bother to go!

The same is true for tonight's game. Ted Lilly hit Escobar the last inning, and Lilly was getting more fan support than Escobar. Geographical distances make it impossible for me to see any games at Turner Field, but displays like that are just disheartening.

I typically don't like to see fights, but it wouldn't have bothered me one iota if Esco had went out there and drilled Lilly with a right hook to the grill. Seriously. I'm getting tired of Lilly throwing at Atlanta hitters. Hopefully, the little dust-up will light a fire under the Braves. Their performance in the doubleheader was an embarrassment. Listless. Rotten. Putrid.

Great game for Kotsay, though, as he joins the one-and-only Albert Hall as Atlanta Braves who hit for the cycle. Hall did it in 1987; Tom Glavine started two nights after Hall's cycle, the eighth start of his rookie season. He lost that game, just as he did last night.

A horrid series for the Braves, though. The pitching was brutal. Maybe Frenchy is finding his stroke; some really good at-bats last night, and good to see some results from those ABs. But all in all, two really forgettable days in a season that is starting to smell like, well, 1987.
