Personally, id much rather part ways with Johnson. Yunel is my favorite player and problobly has the best arm at SS in basball, and with Martin Prado, Kelly has become expendable. If we have to give up any more than whats listed above and another top-flight prospect (like Heyward, Freeman, or Hernandez) ALONG with another young P, then I wouldnt pull the trigger. No way we let a young talent like Yunel go. He still hasn't reached his ceiling talent wise whereas Kelly basically has. Also Kelly played outfield in the majors for a while and could be used there. I don't know why people keep bringing up Furcal. We have a cheaper, younger player there that is only going to improve. Furcal is getting old and has injury problems. While he has probably come close to maximizing his potential, 27 is a common peak year for a lot of position players. Johnson could put up some impressive numbers in the coming season. Also, when comparing KJ and Escobar, you have to keep in mind that Kelly has a lot more power than Escobar, and that's valuable at the middle INF positions. Yunel could blossom into a gap-hitter and 15-20 HR guy, but at the moment, he's a poor man's Renteria. Yunel is much more consistent on defense than Kelly. He has a stronger arm and comes up with more big plays. On offense it's a trade off. Kelly may have more power but there he is also not a consistent as Yunel. Martin Prado is ready to play everyday and I think he is definitely more naturally suited for 2B. I disagree.
