injuries happen just a fact. I understand the honor given these men to play for their respected countries. I also understand many of our American players were asked to go from 9 innings a week to mid-season form in 60 seconds. At 36 I know you need more time to get ready. In fairness to Chipper and Brian I probably would have did the same thing given the opportunity. I think we will have to wait for the regular season to give a fair assessment to Jeff. I like you all have saw strange things happen when the regular season begins. .400 averages went to.100 in a week or vice versa. 10 homers in the spring dropped to 5 for the season. I think we need to give Jeff a chance. I don't think he is washed up. I have every confidence he will bounce back strong for many years to come. I am glad to hear the future is bright both hitting, and pitching with the young guys we have. I am excited about the season with the players we have added, and to know we have young guys that can step up if necessary. IT SAYS GO BRAVES,AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!

I had a strange feeling while watching the game last night that something was going to happen to Chipper. He seems to be a common target for the nagging injuries, but like others have said, I'll still take his production any day.

Par for the course. I have a better chance of winning the lottery than Chipper playing in 162 games. That being said, he still is able to put up his numbers year in and out. He can spot Francouer 50 games and still provide better production.
Thankfully, Infante and Prado are capable of filling in nicely. This is the a bright spot this year…….SOME depth.

Injuries are always a concern. I know to make the WBC work you have to have quality players, but I feel Chipper and Brian should have stayed in spring training. Chipper needed time to pace himself Brain needed the time to work with the new comers, both needed this to get ready for the upcoming season. I have nothing against the WBC it is a good promotion for the game. In the long run it probably will open new avenues for baseball. I just think with all the changes with the Braves for the sake of the team they should have stayed in spring training. My greatest concerns are for the 2009 season. We are already experiencing some disturbing injuries this spring. I only hope it does not continue. As for Jeff Francoeur he would do well to take advice from a pretty fair hitter. I heard Hank Aaron say swing for the singles, and the homeruns will come. That advice would serve a lot of people well. Come home Chipper get well for 2009. GO BRAVES!!!!
