well i wouldnt call it the deja vu of hampton cause atleast glavine's contract does not have us chained to the wall but yeah its just another one of those things we are continually committed to that seem to bite us in the ass somewhere along the line.

We all knew Anderson would come around, he's been playing to long, all the haters need to realize he playing in the AL his entire career, and adjusting to NL pitchers is a tough task, you have to expect a slump. As far as Glavine goes, im sick of believing in him, its deja vu of Hampton.

Well the braves already committed the contract to glavine so we can assume given the braves loyalty to their players that Glavine will have every opportunity to hold down the 5th spot and its gonna take either an injury or glavine retiring to change that at this point. Sucks for Hanson, yes. But, its something that we have grown accostomed to around these parts. I will root my tail off for him but if he ends up failing miserably I blame the braves front office for making the move anyways when we clearly were okay without him. And to all the Garrett Anderson haters around here. I state my case once again. Hitting well over .300 over the past two weeks.

In my opinion, Glavine's return is troublesome for the Braves and is a daring chance. They have already brought up Medlin and he hasn't posted great results. We are already almost 50 games into the season and I think Glavine is not prepared to return to the big league just yet. His consistency is also failing as he grows older. I know that he has had great success with the Braves and is a future hall-of-famer, but he is not a good bet for the team. The Braves need to focus on getting an OF instead of bringing Glavine up. Another possibility is bringing Hanson up! It doesn't matter if he will recieve a bonus in his contract if they bring him up. Along with Lowe,Vasquez, and Jurrjens, Hanson would make a fearsome part of the rotation, especially when Tim Hudson returns. The Braves also need to send down KK because he hasn't impressed anyone so far.

I think his knowledge of hitters in the National League will be great for our young pitchers. He can teach them alot. To bad he doesn't know any good sluggers needing a job.

Glavine's return is a tough proposition. My inner child wants to jump and scream and be excited for his return. But then, I remember he's over 40 and not as durable as he used to be. We're still in the first half of the season, we're only 3.5 games out of first, why rush him.

We all know that when a player tells Bobby he's ready to return, Bobby tells him to wait one more day. This isn't abnormal.

Go Braves.
