Ken Rosenthal over at MSN.Foxsports.com had this interesting comment about the Braves - “Meanwhile, the Yankees could trade Melky Cabrera even if they do not include him in a deal for Santana; several clubs are showing interest in Cabrera, including — presumably — the Braves, who tried to acquire him last off-season. ”
What do you think about the possibility of Cabrera getting signed?

Why don’t you make a forum on this site as well? Sometimes I feel like I’m comment whoring, whereas in a forum setup, I feel a little less like that. If you do an article section where there are no allowable comments, and then a forum section with a copy of the article with allowable comments, maybe more will comment more freely? I know it’s not a question, but it’s a suggestion in the form of a question.

Do you think that the Braves are going to sign another CF or use one they already have (Anderson, possibly?) Pitching wise, do you think they are going to get another starter, or bullpen help?

Why is there so much talk about suring up the bullpen? To my recelection, the only turd in our pen last year was fat lard Wickman. I mean, sure, there were injuries and seemingly occasional lapses in talent, but I thought that the bullpen held up pretty well considering excess work due to the 3, 4, and 5 spots in the rotation.

of course there is going to be a stur in the bullpen. you cant rely on smoltz every game. we need starters.

Do you think the Braves must go the distance this year? With Cox retiring, Our 2 veteran pitchers Smoltz and Glavine getting old, and the end of Teixeira’s contract looming, It seems there will be too much instability in the next few years to make a legitimate run if they don’t get it done this year.

I hear the Braves may be interested in Mark Kotsay. Is this true and is he even a decent enough outfielder for the amount of money he will be asking for?

i personally dont think that andruw was a GREAT centerfielder. yes, he was good, but there are plenty of better cfs that would not need the amount of money that he did. OVER…RATED…OVER…RATED. cya ajones!

With the Braves acquisition of Mark Kotsay what is the chance that Willie Harris or Brandon Jones is traded to get some more relief pitching?

Is Tom Glavine going to make a legit difference on the starting staff this year?I love Tommy, don’t get me wrong, but he looked very below average by seasons end with the Mets.I’m hoping he’s got a good year or two left, but whats everyone elses opinion?

I am curious about what is being done to secure a solid left fielder? I know we got a couple of prospects for centerfield before we aquired Kotsay, but what about left?

Being that we have two old guys (Glavine and Smoltz), Mike Hampton who is heading into the last year of his contract and has serious health risks….What are the chances that our young arms like Jair, Chuck James, Morton, Reyes, etc will be able to carry our rotation of the future? Hoping that Tim Hudson will be around to hold down the 1 slot.

Since this is the last year of Hampton’s contract, what are the Braves going to do about him in the future? Are we going to let him go or resign him (whether its at a huge discount for lost time or whatever)?

Is Kotsay going to grab the starting position, or could Anderson take this fromhim?

We had tickets to tonight’s (4/4/08) game. It has been cancelled. We bought 4 tickets. Do we get reimbursed or do we get a raincheck? How do we go about this?
Thanks, Larry

Why don’t you put these in reverse order? It makes more sense to do that.
Real question: What kind of results do you anticipate from the Mike Hampton journey to Richmond tomorrow? Will he be back? or will he just continue to pull a “mike hampton”?
