Norton as clutch as a pinch hitter, batting .316 off the bench. He also hit .322 after the All-Star break. Norton won’t fill the ‘big outfield bat’ hole but he does provide a very solid bat to pinch hit.

I do not want to see Norton back as a regular position player – he saw far too much playing time last year for my comfort – but he’s a great bat to have as a pinch hitter. Are you glad to see Norton back with the Braves in 2009?
